with a little bit of luck and great encounter with family and friends
throughout the day. The weather is nice and sunny, and you walk home
from school/work accompanied with cool breeze along the way. You said to
yourself, "Today is such a great day," and the next moment you hit by a
truck and dead. That's what I felt about this episode. This is what I
love how the story is written, and how the animation perfectly

You should check out Golden Kamuy It has a very good story line as well and there's a specific point when visiting an ainu village The villagers talk about how they name their children horrific things until a certain age such as Grandpa's tard or asswipe, Or ballsack Or very Disgusting Things and this is to keep the children healthy giving them names Of Horrible origin apparently scares away illness that's what they believe
What you say and what happens in this episode reminds me of that it's as if you focus too good oblivious and the good something bad's gonna happen but You surround with bad and something good happens, Like the random stuff poor mob has been put through throughout the series

People still using that naming method to this day. There is some family that their newborn child always die because of illness or unknown reasons. After 3 or more try they give this kind unhuman name to newborns as you say to won't let them die. [ So Bad things, illness, devil, death, curse etc... things see that kid as not human] And somehow miraculous way those kids stays alive and become grown ups. I saw this kind things so many times in my country. And most intriguing thing is when they raise few kids successful then tries normal names afterwards but somehow that child won't make it.

That's actually incredibly interesting and I would be interested in what cultures practices this. More often than not there is an explanation behind why a child's health declines and by giving them a "inhuman" name they may be doing something preventative subconsciously as they grow.
